5. Legislation
This chapter summarizes the key national and international regulations applicable to NEMO. The regulatory framework is based on Regulation (EU) 2019/1239 of the European Parliament and of the Council (the EMSWe Regulation) and the related EU and national legislation that supplements it.
The regulations define, among other things, reporting obligations, deadlines, data processing requirements, and authorities' rights to access information.
