CRT Ship certificates

The CRT notification is used to provide information on a vessel's certificates for a port call at a Finnish port when a certificate is new, its details have changed, or the certificate information has not previously been reported.

The CRT notification is used to maintain the vessel's valid certificate information. Only one certificate of each certificate type may be reported for the same port call.

If certificate information is missing from the NEMO Ship Data Service or is not up to date, update the information using a CRT notification.

Please note:

• Only a submitted notification updates certificate information stored in the NEMO Ship Data Service. A notification in draft status does not update the information.
• If updated information for the same certificate is reported later, the most recently submitted information remains valid.
• If a submitted notification is subsequently cancelled, information already stored in the Ship Data Service is not automatically removed. Correct any incorrect information by submitting a new notification with the correct details.

Requesting a Finnish ice class confirmation

A CRT notification can be used to submit a vessel's classification certificate and request confirmation of a Finnish ice class.

If the vessel's Finnish ice class is missing from NEMO or the information is not up to date, attach a valid classification certificate to the CRT notification. When submitting the notification, indicate that the information is being provided to request confirmation of the Finnish ice class.

Complete this field if you wish to provide additional information related to certificates or their processing that cannot be reported elsewhere.

If there is no additional information to report, leave the field blank. Do not repeat information already provided in other fields.

Attachment

Use this section to provide the vessel's certificate documents.

Upload file

Each certificate document is added by uploading the corresponding attachment file from your device.

Multiple files may be attached to the notification, for example when several vessel certificates are updated at the same time.

Accepted file formats are:

• PDF
• XML
• JPG
• PNG

The maximum file size is 10 MB.

Each attachment is scanned for viruses when uploaded. If malware or another security risk is detected, the file cannot be attached to the notification.

Files attached to the form can be downloaded later using the download button displayed next to the file name.

The following vessel certificate documents are commonly used:

• Classification Certificate
• ISPS Security Certificate (ISSC)
• Load Line Certificate
• Certificate of Registry
• International Tonnage Certificate
• Other certificate type (for example, a deadweight certificate or double-bottom certificate)

Attachment file name DE-003-05

Upload the file to be attached to the notification using the Upload File function.

Attachment description DE-003-03

Enter a short description of the attachment. The description helps identify the attachment later without opening the file.

Always provide a description when using Other certificate type.

Certificate

Complete the details of the attached certificate in the format shown on the certificate. Each certificate must be reported as a separate table row.

Only one certificate of each certificate type can be reported for the same port call. Do not add multiple certificates of the same type to the same port call, for example two Classification Certificates or two ISPS Security Certificates.

If a newer version of a certificate is available or previously submitted information is incorrect, update the existing certificate information instead of adding another certificate of the same type.

Certificate type DE-006-01

Select the certificate type to be reported.

Recommended values include:

• CL – Classification Certificate
• ISPS – ISPS Security Certificate (ISSC)
• LL – Load Line Certificate
• REG – Certificate of Registry
• TM – International Tonnage Certificate
• OTHER – Other certificate type

If you select OTHER – Other certificate type, also complete Certificate description DE-006-04.

Only one certificate of each certificate type may be reported for the same port call.

Certificate description DE-006-04

Enter a description of the certificate.

Certificate issue date DE-006-10

Enter the date on which the certificate was issued.

Certificate date of expiry DE-006-11

Enter the certificate expiry date.

If the certificate does not contain an expiry date, leave the field blank.

Certificate issuer type DE-006-06

Select the type of organization that issued the certificate.

Available values may include:

• 01 – Flag State
• 02 – Classification Society
• 03 – Recognized Organization
• 04 – Recognized Security Organization
• 05 – Notified Body
• 06 – Insurance Company
• 99 – Other

Also complete the following fields as applicable:

1. Certificate issuer DE-006-08, if you select:
   • 02 – Classification Society
   • 03 – Recognized Organization
   • 04 – Recognized Security Organization
2. Certificate issuer name DE-006-09, if you select:
   • 05 – Notified Body
   • 06 – Insurance Company
   • 99 – Other
3. Certificate issuer flag state DE-006-07, if you select:
   • 01 – Flag State

Certificate issuer DE-006-08

Select the authority or organization that issued the certificate.

Certificate issuer name DE-006-09

Enter the name of the authority or organization that issued the certificate.

Certificate issuer flag state DE-006-07

Select the code of the flag State that issued the certificate.
