To ensure stable and uninterrupted service, there has been a decision to postpone the mandatory deployment of the NEMO system until 1 January 2027. Due to the critical nature of the system, it is important that all relevant authorities and stakeholders are at a sufficiently high level of readiness for it. This ensures a secure transition from the Portnet service to the new operating environment under the EMSW Regulation. The current Portnet system will remain in production use until 1 January 2027.
In the new schedule, pilot organisations will start using the service on 1 October 2026. This means that ports and authorities must prepare for using two parallel systems from the beginning of October 2026.
Notifiers and port operators will be offered testing and support for the NEMO system throughout this period. Organizations are encouraged to continue active preparations to ensure successful deployment.
